The government today (March 20) opened Dhaka Elevated Expressway’s exit ramp of Karwan Bazar section for vehicles.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader inaugurated the ramp for use to traffic around 11:00am.

With this, a total of 17 ramps have been opened.

This section will allow vehicles from the airport to get down directly next to the FDC gate.

Dhaka Elevated Expressway Project Director AHMS Akhter confirmed the matter.

Minister Obaidul Quader during the inauguration said this is an Eid gift on behalf of Prime Minister. 

“This year all sections of the project cannot be opened, next year we can open the entire sections of the expressway,” hoped Quader.

He also said that in next Hatirjheel ramp will be opened for the vehicles, the authorities working to that end.
