A fire broke out at a jute mill factory at Rupsha upazila in Khulna district on Wednesday (April 3) afternoon.

The incident happened at Salam Jute Mill in Jabusa area of the upazila around 5.38pm on Wednesday.

Khulna Fire Service Control Room duty officer Md Abdul Qadir confirmed the matter.

He said after receiving information, eight firefighting units rushed there and trying to douse the blaze.

The details about the fire will be briefed later, added the fire official.
