The Sonali Bank authorities have shut down operations of its three branches in Ruma, Thanchi, and Rowangchhari upazilas of Bandarban following the bank robberies in the district.

Confirming the issue on Thursday, Osman Gani, additional general manager of Sonali Bank Bandarban Sadar branch, said the decision has been made considering the overall security.

Customers of the banks concerned can withdraw money from the respective branches located in the Sadar upazila area, officials of Sonali Bank said.
