CHUADANGA: A worker of brick field was shot to death and five more were injured as miscreants opened fire in Kumari village under Alamdanga Upazila of the district early Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Sujan, 35, son of late Malek Mridha.

Witnesses said that some 10-12 miscreants attacked the workers of MR Bricks in the area at around 2:00am and started beat up them.

At one stage they opened fire aiming the workers, leaving Sujan dead on the spot and injured others.

Alamdanga Thana Officer-in-Charge Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
