19 army men injured in Lama road crash

LAMA (BANDARBAN): At least 19 army men were injured in a road accident on Lama-Chakaria road in Yangcha Choimail area under Lama upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The injured could not be identified immediately, banglanews correspondent reports.

Sources said on their way to Alikadam, a vehicle of 3-East Bengal struck a hill and turned turtle as the driver lost control over the steering on Lama-Chakaria road in Yangcha Choimail area, laving 19 soldiers injured.

Of them, critically injured 10 were shifted to Chittagong Military Hospital by helicopter and the rest were admitted to Alikadam Military Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Lama Thana Shah Jahan Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
