A platoon commander (PC) of Bangladesh Ansar died after falling ill on the road in Newmarket area in the capital.
The doctor declared Abu Taleb, 50, dead after he was brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at 4pm in an unconscious state.
Md. Belal, a pedestrian rushed the Ansar member to DMCH.
He said, “I saw him was lying on the road and people surrounding him was pour water on his head. I guessed he might have fell sick due to ongoing heat. Later, I took him to hospital.”
Meanwhile, Abu Taleb's cousin Shariful Islam identified dead body.
DMCH police camp In-charge Bachchu Mia confirming the matter said body of the deceased has been kept at the hospitals morgue.
