Two members of the banned armed group Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) have been reported killed in a joint anti-terrorist operation in Bandarban.

On Thursday (May 23) morning, there was a shooting incident in Sharonpara area of Ward No. 6 of Sualak Union of Bandarban Sadar Upazila.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Additional Superintendent of Bandarban Police Hoshain Md. Rayhan Kazemi confirmed the matter.

He said two KNF members were killed today in the ongoing operation of joint forces in districts Sharonpara area. Police are making arrangements to recover the body and bring it to Sadar Hospital morgue.
