A three years old boy was killed when a battery-run auto van hit him in Gomastapur upazila of the district today (June 12).
 
The deceased was identified as Kawsar Ali, 3, son of Ismail Hossain, a resident of Nandalalpur village of the upazila.
 
Police said the accident took place when a battery-run auto van hit Kawsar as he was crossing the road in front of his house around 11 am.
 
Seriously injured Kawsar was rushed to the Gomastapur Upazila Health Complex where the on duty doctor declared him dead.
 
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gomostapur Police Station Chowdhury Zobayer Ahammad confirmed the matter.
