DHAKA: Two people including a woman were killed in a road accident on Khulna-Jessore highway in front of MM College under Fultala upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Sakina Begum, 50 and her grand son Roman, 10, hailed from Bamandanga upazila.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of Fultala Thana Ilias Fakir told banglanews that while crossing the road, a Jessore-bound rashly driven truck knocked them in front of MM College of the upazila around 7:30am.

Police send the Bodies to Khulna Medical College Hospital for an autopsy, he added.

He also said that police seized the truck though the driver fled the scene.
