Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicted light to moderate and moderately heavy to heavy rainfall or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind at places over all eight divisions of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today (July 13).
According to the BMD's latest bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at many places over Rangpur, Khulna and Barishal divisions and at a few places over Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.
Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over the North Bay, it added.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 33.5 degrees Celsius at Sreemangal. While, today's minimum temperature 24.2 degrees Celsius was recorded jointly in Tangail and Bandarban.
Rainfall for the last 24 hours commencing 6 am today was recorded 131 mm in Dhaka.
