The rainy season is the prime time for tree plantations. Bashundhara Shuvosangho Atwari upazila unit members have undertaken a tree plantation campaign to build Green Bangladesh.

Visiting different educational institutions, they distribute saplings. The programme was launched from Atwari Ideal School and College.

Bashundhara Shuvosangho friends conducted awareness campaigns about the importance of tree plantations. Taking students with them, they planted saplings on the campus. Every student was gifted with a guava sapling. The students were overwhelmed getting the saplings.

Bashundhara Shuvosangho district unit president Rabbu Hossain said, “There is no substitute for tree plantations to combat the scourge of climate change. We have selected the rainy season for planting trees. Our efforts will continue in the days to come.”

Appreciating the tree plantation and sapling distribution campaign of Bashundhara Shuvosangho members, Principal of Atwari Ideal School and College Nitish Chandra Barman said, “It is indeed a good deed! Society will change if all its members do a bit of good deeds.”
