Three members of a family were killed in a landslide caused by heavy rainfall, in Cox's Bazar's Pekua upazila early Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Mamtaz Begum, 40, wife of Dubai expatriate Sarwar Kamal; her daughter Moyna, 12 and her eight-year-old grandson Toha Mahi.

According to Pekua Police Station OC, the landslide occurred due to heavy rain since early Sunday leaving three family members dead in Shilkhali.
