A case has been filed against 17 people including former Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina today (Aug 18) on charge of killing Begum Rokeya University student Abu Sayeed.
Awami League General Secretary and former Minister Obaidul Quader has also been named as an accused in the case.
The case was filed this morning by the elder brother of the deceased in the Rangpur court.
Abu Sayeed (22), a student of the 12th batch in the English Department of Begum Rokeya University, was killed by police gunfire on 16 July during a movement demanding reforms in the government job quota system.
