Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner suspended Inspector (Operations) Arshad Hossain of Shahbagh Police Station, who held mouth of a student during a protest on July 31.

DMP Commissioner suspended him citing his activities as unprofessional.

According to the DMP’s statement, despite being a member of a well-disciplined police force, his unprofessional actions have tarnished the image of the police and created a negative impression about police activities in the public eye. In view of which he was temporarily suspended.
