Three people were injured in a fire that broke out on the eighth floor of a 12-storey residential building on road no-5 of Dhanmondi this morning (August 21).

Six firefighting units brought the fire under control around 11:17am, officer-in-charge of the media wing of Fire Service Md Shahjahan Shikder told media today. 

He said the fire broke out at around 10:25am.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
