Custom Intelligence and National Security Intelligence today (August 28) arrested a man along with 1,372 bhoris (16kg) of gold at Osmani International Airport in Sylhet.

The arrestee was identified as Hossain Ahmed, son of Nurul Islam of Goramarakandi village of Goainghat upazila of Sylhet.

Director of Civil Aviation of Sylhet Hafiz Ahmed confirmed the matter.

He said that the team acting on a tip-off searched a flight BG-252 coming from Sharjah of United Arab Emirates and recovered the gold from the passenger.
