DHAKA: Two former pro-Awami Chhatra League leaders have been appointed managers for Bangladesh Fisheries Development Corporation.

Morsheduzzaman Selim and Alamgir Hasan have been appointed for two years on contract, according to a government order issued Sunday.

Alamgir was once vice-president of Chhatra League while Selim finance secretary of the central committee.

Sources said Alamgir got an appointment as assistant private secretary to the State Minister for Housing and Public Works. “But his appointment was cancelled as the minister did not allow him,” said one source.
