MANIKGANJ: Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia river route resumed from Saturday morning after around seven hour suspension due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

Sources said that the authority halted the ferry services at around 12:30am to avoid collision.

Confirming the matter, Paturia Ghat Manager (commercial) Salauddin Rasel told banglanews, “Ferry services become normal at 7:00am as fog cleared.”

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) sources said that three Ro-Ro ferries were stranded at Paturia Ghat, two K-type ferries and four Ro-Ro ferries with vehicles at Daulatdia ghat.

One Ro-RO ferry and K-Type ferry stuck in mid Padma, the sources added.
