The High Court today (Sept 5) issued a rule asking authorities concerned to explain in four weeks why they should not be directed to appoint a receiver to manage the companies of Beximco Group and to attach their properties. 

The HC bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Muhammad Mahbub-Ul Islam issued the rule following a writ petition filed by Supreme Court lawyer Masood R Sobhan seeking necessary directives.

Barrister Masood R Sobhan, was in favour of the application in the court. Deputy Attorney General Redwan Ahmed Ranjib and Assistant Attorney General Mujahidul Islam Shaheen appeared for the state.

Redwan Ahmed Ranjib said that a writ petition has been filed by the senior advocate of the Supreme Court Masood R. Sobhan Sir. After the hearing, the court issued a ruling.
