A youth who was shot in head during student movement on August 4 has died today (Sep 13) while receiving treatment.

The deceased was identified as Parvez Hossain, 22, a resident of Lakshmipur. He was a Thai glass worker in Senpara, Mirpur, Dhaka.

After the incident, Parvez had been receiving treatment at the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital in Dhaka for 37 days.

According to family sources, Parvez was shot in the head during the anti-discrimination student movement in Mirpur-10. Later, locals rescued him and took him to the hospital. He underwent surgery on his head at the hospital that night.
