A man was detained from Chattogram’s Shah Amanat International Airport with Riyals and Dirhams which in BDT worth crores.

Members of Customs Intelligence and NSI arrested Zakir Hossain from a Dubai bound flight on Thursday (Sep 19).

Intelligence team disclosed arrestees present address as 11/1 Shikkatuli, Bangshal, Dhaka GPO-1000, Dhaka, and Permanent Address as Village-Ramganj, PO: Ramganj, Thana: Ramganj, District: Laxmipur.

According to Intelligence team, Zakir this morning came to Chattogram airport through a US Bangla flight (BS-343) from Dhaka.

When Customs Intelligence members doubted Zakir they conducted a search and recovered, 70,000 Saudi Riyals, 46,000 UAE Dirhams, which in BDT worth 2,44,80,000.

A Chattogram airport official confirming the matter to Banglanews said, Zakir will be handed over to Patenga Model Police Station with money laundering case.
