Senior Secretary of Public Administration Ministry Dr Md Mokhlesur Rahman today (Sep 22) said all government employees have to file wealth statements for the financial year 2023-24 by November 31 this year.
He said this while addressing a press conference at the ministry conference room in the capital.
He said: “All government employees have to file wealth statements for the financial year 2023-24 by November 31, this year, however, from next year the wealth statements of each financial year must be submitted by December 31.”
The senior secretary said that submission of wealth statements for government employees is mandatory from now on, adding, “The wealth statements would have to be submitted to the concerned authorities in a sealed envelope. It will be considered as a punishable offence under Rules 1979, if any misinformation is included in the wealth statement.”
“This code of conduct will apply to all employees. All officers and employees are called government employees,” he said.
Rahman said that the asset-statement must be submitted in the prescribed table form prepared by the Ministry of Public Administration, adding, “The prescribed form can be collected from the respective website of Ministries/Division /Departments/Organizations along with the Ministry of Public Administration.”
