The interim government has appointed five new members to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC), raising the total number of members to nine.

The appointments were made by the order of the president under Article 138 (1) of the constitution, according to a gazette notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday (Oct 31).

The new additions are expected to strengthen the PSC’s capacity in overseeing civil service recruitment and examinations.
