Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted mainly dry weather over the country, but rain likely over some parts of the country for the next 24 hours begins from on Friday (November 1) morning.
"Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Dhaka, Barishal and Chattogram divisions. Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country," according to the forecast that begins 9am today.
Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall slightly over the country, it added.
Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 34.5 degree Celsius at Sitakunda and today's minimum temperature 23.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Badalgachhi, Tetulia and Srimangal respectively.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 17 millimeters (mm) at Srimangal.
The sun sets at 05.19 pm today and rises at 06.05 am tomorrow in the capital.
