A Bangladeshi youth was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon.
The deceased identified as Mohammad Nizam Uddin, 32, son of Mohammad Abdul Quddus and Anwara Begum, hailed from Kharera area of Kasba Upazila in Brahmanbaria.
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon, according to the Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut.
The embassy also said he was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Hazmiyeh area of Beirut at 3:23 pm local time while going to his workplace and taking a break at a coffee shop. He died instantly due to the attack.
Bangladesh's Ambassador to Lebanon, Air Vice Marshal Javed Tanveer Khan, expressed deep sorrow over his passing, extended condolences to the family, and prayed for the peace of his soul.
