The first phase of the Biswa Ijtema is scheduled to take place from January 31 to February 2, while the second phase will be held from February 7 to 9, 2025, along the banks of the Turag River in Tongi of Gazipur district.
Home Affairs Adviser, Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, announced this after a meeting with representatives from the two factions of the Tabligh Jamaat at the Ministry of Home Affairs today.
He also said that discussions during the meeting covered maintaining law and order as well as overall security measures for the upcoming Biswa Ijtema.
"We do not want any division among the Islamic scholars (alem-ulema) . . . If necessary, we will engage in further discussions with them," he added.
