Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus assured Tanjim Ahmad Sohel Taj, son of Bangladesh's first prime minister Tajuddin Ahmad, of giving his efforts to convey the accurate history of the nation to the new generation.
Sohel Taj shared on his verified Facebook page on Monday, "All of you will be happy to hear that Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus called me over the phone this morning and I talked to him for a while"
In his post, he also said: "The CA remembered the contribution of the four national leaders including Tajuddin Ahmad in our great liberation war and assured me of taking steps so that the new generation would know the complete history of our great liberation war."
On Sunday, Sohel Taj submitted a memorandum on his three-point demand to the Chief Adviser.
He demanded that the government declare April 10, the day the first Bangladesh government was formed, as "Republic Day", November 3, the Jail Killing Day, as the "National Mourning Day" and and the inclusion of Liberation War leaders’ contributions in school textbooks.
