The Islamic gathering by Tabligh Jamaat at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka has led to severe traffic congestion across the city.
From early Tuesday (Oct 5) morning, traffic in areas like Shahbagh, Paltan, and nearby zones came to a standstill, causing a ripple effect of gridlock throughout the capital.
The situation has particularly affected office commuters and emergency patients. The heavy traffic persisted from morning until noon, with major roads facing continuous slowdowns.
According to law enforcers, the massive gathering at Suhrawardy Udyan has significantly impacted traffic flow across Dhaka. Areas near the National Press Club, Kakrail, Bijoy Sarani, and Paltan witnessed intense pressure, with on-duty traffic officers struggling to manage the load.
