After four consecutive increases, the price of 12-kg Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been reduced by Tk 1 to Tk 1,455 for November.
The new price was announced on Tuesday (November 5) by Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) Chairman Jalal Ahmed during a press briefing held at BERC’s Karwan Bazar office.
He stated that the new rate will take effect from 6 p.m. Tuesday evening.
On October 2, the price was raised by Tk 35 to Tk 1,456 per 12-kg cylinder compared to September.
Before that, prices increased by Tk 44 in September, Tk 11 in August, and Tk 3 in July, bringing the cylinder prices to Tk 1,421, Tk 1,377, and Tk 1,366 respectively.
Additionally, BERC has also reduced the price of autogas. For November, the retail price of autogas, including VAT, has been set at Tk 66.84 per liter.
