Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today (Nov 6) extended his congratulations to Donald Trump on his historic win in the US presidential election.

“I am pleased to convey, on behalf of the government and people of Bangladesh, my warmest congratulations on your victory in the 2024 US Presidential Election,” he expressed in a message of congratulations.

“Your re-election as President reflects the resonance of your leadership and vision with the people of the United States. I am confident that, under your guidance, the United States will continue to prosper and serve as a source of inspiration worldwide,” the message read.

Highlighting the longstanding ties between Bangladesh and the US, Prof Yunus noted the enduring friendship and cooperation between the two nations across various areas of mutual interest.

He acknowledged that this relationship had deepened significantly during Trump’s previous tenure.

Expressing eagerness to work together to further enhance their partnership and advance sustainable development, the Chief Adviser stated his strong belief in the limitless opportunities that lie ahead for both nations as they explore new areas of cooperation.

“Excellency, with our shared commitment to a peaceful and inclusive society, the government and the peace-loving people of Bangladesh look forward to supporting your efforts to address global challenges and to pursue peace, harmony, stability, and prosperity for all,” Prof Yunus concluded.
