The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement started protests at Dhaka University on Monday (Nov 11) afternoon, opposing the recent appointment of three new advisers to the interim government.
Student leaders expressed frustration, saying they were not informed about the appointments beforehand.
The newly appointed advisers include Mahfuj Alam, who serves as a special assistant to Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus; businessman Sk Bashir Uddin; and renowned filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki.
According to reports, Sk Bashir Uddin is named in a murder case related to the July-August uprising and has ties with the previous Awami League government.
