Three members of the Kuki-Chin National Army (KNA) were reportedly killed in a gunfight during an operation launched by members of the Bangladesh Army on Saturday evening.
The operation was launched in the remote forests of Ruma upazila in Bandarban after locating a secret hideout of the armed group.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the matter through a statement on Sunday (Nov 24) afternoon.
According to the statement, the army discovered the KNA hideout in the dense forest of Ruma upazila and engaged in a gunfight with the group, killing three armed members.
Weapons and other equipment were also recovered during the raid, the ISPR said, adding that the operation was underway.
