10 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed in Dhaka and Chattogram to maintain law and order.

The deployment was made on Tuesday (November 26) to maintain law and order in the capital.

Shariful Islam, public relations officer of BGB, confirmed the matter to the media.

He said four platoons were deployed in Dhaka's Shahbagh, Matshya Bhaban and Hotel Intercontinental areas while six platoons in Chattogram metropolitan area to avert any untoward incidents.

Earlier on Monday, six platoons of BGB were deployed in the Jatrabari-Demra area.
