23-kg gold seized at Shahjalal, 3 held

DHAKA: A total of 23-kg gold bars, worth around Tk 11 crore, were seized at Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday night.

Assistant Commissioner of Customs Nazma Jabin told banglanews that around 11.5-kg gold bars were seized from an Emirates Airlines from Dubai around 8:00pm.

Later, the customs officials seized around 11.5-kg gold bars raiding different points, green channel of the airport, around 10:30pm in the night.

The law enforcers also detained three security guards—Saiful Islam, Hashem and Monir—in this connection.
