The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted dry weather for the next 24 hours, starting this morning (Dec 11).
The forecast predicts dry conditions with temporary partly cloudy skies over the country.
A well-marked low-pressure area currently lies over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Southeast Bay, with its associated trough extending to the North Bay.
A ridge of sub-continental high pressure extends up to Bihar and surrounding areas.
Moderate to thick fog may form in parts of northern and northeastern Bangladesh, while light to moderate fog is expected elsewhere during the late night and early morning hours.
The highest temperature recorded on Tuesday was 30.0°C in Cox's Bazar, while the lowest temperature today was 11.7°C in Badalgachhi.
Night temperatures are expected to fall by 1-2°C, with a slight decrease in daytime temperatures across the country.
