COMILLA: At least three Awami League activists sustained bullet injuries as they locked into clash with activists of BNP over paying tributes to the language martyrs at Debidar upazila of the district early Friday.

The injured--Saddam Hossain, Abu Hanif and Masud Rana of the upzila—were admitted to Debidar Upazila Health Complex.

Sources said the leaders and activists of both the parties locked into clash around 12:30am after placing wreaths at Shaheed Minar, leaving three Awami League activists injured.

Officer-in-Charge of Debidar Thana Abdul Hannan confirmed the matter to banglanews. “Police personnel were deployed in the area after the incident,” he said.
