DHAKA: The government decided to constitute a Counter Terrorism Bureau to keep the arrested militants under surveillance.

Joint Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Manirul Islam came up with the disclosure on Monday.

He also said that the bureau will monitor the trial procedure of the cases filed against arrested militants and on what ground they were granted bail. It will also keep surveillance the movement of the bail-released militants.

Sheikh Hasina, the premier of the country, has already taken decision in principle in this regard, he added.
