Met office predicts dry weather across Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted dry weather with temporary partly cloudy skies across the country for the next 24 hours, starting from 9am today (Dec 26).

The weather is expected to remain dry as the ridge of the sub-continental high extends over West Bengal and surrounding areas, while the seasonal low persists over the South Bay.

Light to moderate fog may occur in some areas from midnight until morning.

Nighttime temperatures are predicted to dip slightly in Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, while remaining unchanged elsewhere.

Day temperatures are expected to rise slightly in these regions, with little change elsewhere.

On Wednesday, the highest temperature was recorded at 29.4°C in Sitakunda, while Tetulia saw the lowest at 9.5°C.

In Dhaka, the sun will set at 5:20pm today and rise at 6:40am tomorrow.
