GOPALGANJ: At least 15 people, including locals, were injured in a clash between Ansar personnel and transport workers at Ghonapara intersection of the district on Monday morning.

Locals said that the clash took place over taking sit in a bus.

The law enforcers and the staff of the bus locked into the clash when the staff asked Ansar personnel to leave their seats for other passengers, leaving 15 people injured.

The critically injured were rushed to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital.

The agitated transport workers and locals blockaded Dhaka-Khulna highway for an hour. The movements of the vehicles were halted in the area.

However, the local administration and police took the situation under control later.
