DHAKA: A rickshaw puller was killed in a road accident in Jatrabari area of the city on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Ranju, 45.

Sources said that a rashly driven truck rammed into the rickshaw puller around 5:30am in the area, leaving him critically injured.

Local people rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries around 6:30pm.

Confirming the matter, Jatrabari Thana Sub-Inspector Idris Ali told banglanews, “We have sent the body to DMCH morgue for an autopsy.”
