Bangladesh has discussed the possibility of importing food grains from Pakistan on a government-to-government (G2G) basis, Food Adviser Ali Imam Majumder said on Tuesday (Dec 31).

The discussion took place during a meeting at the Secretariat with Pakistan’s High Commissioner Syed Ahmed Maroof. 

Topics of mutual interest, including grain imports, were addressed during the meeting.

The meeting was attended by Pakistan High Commission’s Trade and Investment Attaché Zain Aziz, Food Secretary Md Masudul Hasan, Director General of the Food Directorate, and other senior officials.
