Light rains or drizzle are expected in northern Bangladesh from 9 am on Saturday, with mild cold waves likely to continue in Panchagarh, says the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
The weather is expected to remain dry with partly cloudy skies across most of the country.
However, moderate to dense fog may form during the midnight to morning hours, lingering until noon in some areas, which could disrupt air navigation, inland river transport, and road communication temporarily.
Temperatures are expected to rise slightly at night, with daytime temperatures increasing by 1-2°C. However, both night and day temperatures may drop again by Thursday.
The weather is influenced by a ridge of sub-continental high pressure over West Bengal and an extending seasonal low over the South Bay.
