Madaripur: Two people were killed in a fatal road accident as a bus rammed a motorbike on the Dhaka-Barisal Highway Saturday.

The deceased were identified bike-rider Dulal Khalashi, 35, a fertilizer dealer, and his companion Tapan Dey, 37, a marketing manager of Aftab Group.    

According to witnesses and police a Barisal-bound passenger bus collided head-on with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. “The bus sped away after the accident,” says a firsthand report.

Dulal Khalasi died on the spot while the critically injured Tapan died on way to hospital.

A case was filed in this regard with Rajor Thana.
