BD man killed in BSF firing

JOYPURHAT: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) killed a cattle trader in Hatkhola Fortier under Panchbibi Upazila of the district early Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Azizul Haque, 30, son of Tofazzal Haque, hailed from Satbaria village of the district.

Sources said that BSF personnel opened fire aiming cattle trader Azizul while he was returning home with his cattle from India at around 3:00am, leaving him dead on the spot.

Confirming the matter, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)-3 commander Lieutenant Abdur Razzak Talukdar told banglanews, “A letter was sent to BSF for holding a flag meeting to get back the body of Azizul.”
