Wounded Jessore AL man dies

JESSORE: An activist of Awami League, who was injured in Thursday’s poll violence in Chaughachha upazila, succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Fazlur Rahman, 50, son of Kubad Ali, of Hakimpur union of the upazila.  

Sources said a clash erupted between Awami League and BNP men at Debipur Government Primary School polling center on Thursday morning, leaving Fazlur Rahman injured critically.

Locals rushed him to local health complex and but doctor suggested them to shift the injured to DMCH as the condition was critical.

Later, he breathed his last at DMCH on Friday morning.

Chaugachha thana officer-in-charge Motiar Rahman confirmed the death news to banglanews.
