MADARIPUR: A schoolboy was killed in a road accident in Boilgram area under Rajoir upazila of the district on Friday.

The victim was identified as Jumman, 8, student of class (i) of a local school and son of Ibrahim Sheikh, resident of the area.

Police sources said that a Dhaka bound passenger bus rammed into Jumman while he was crossing the highway in the area in the evening, leaving him dead on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Rajoir Thana Moniruzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanewes.
