RAJSHAHI: Language movement hero Syed Uddin Ahmed passed away at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital early Saturday.

He was 84. Syed Uddin breathed his last at 3:00am leaving behind three sons, a daughter and numerous well wishers.

After Johr prayer, his namaz-e-janaza will be held at Boro Mosuque in the Rajshahi city and to be buried at Hetem Kha graveyard.

He was underwent treatment at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at RMCH with old age complication, the deceased son Robi Uddin Ahmed told banglanews.
