ASHULIA, DHAKA: Two members of a family were killed in a road accident in Niribili bus stand area of Ashulia on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Rupchan Mandal and his grandson Shahinur,5, hailed from Manikganj district.

Family sources said that a three wheeler rammed into the victims in the area around 10:30am while they were going to visit relative’s house in Manikganj, leaving them critically injured.

Later, locals rushed the injured grandpa-grandson to local hospital where on-duty doctor declared them dead.

Confirming the matter, Ashulia Thana Sub-Inspector Sumon told banglanews, “Police seized the three-wheeler along with its driver.”
