The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating that a mild cold wave is sweeping over the northern and northwestern regions of the country.
The cold wave, which began at 9 am today, is expected to persist, particularly affecting districts such as Sirajganj and Panchagarh.
A ridge of sub-continental high pressure extends up to Bihar and surrounding areas, while a seasonal low persists over the South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay.
The weather will remain generally dry, with partly cloudy skies, while moderate to thick fog is expected in certain areas from midnight to morning, continuing through noon.
This could lead to temporary disruptions in air navigation, inland river transport, and road communications.

In Dhaka, the sunset is at 5:39 pm today, and the sun will rise at 6:42 am tomorrow.
