Three people were killed and at least four others injured after a bus hit a three-wheeler in the Satmatha China Hall area of Rangpur city on Friday (January 31) morning.
According to passengers of both vehicles, the accident occurred around 8:30 am due to heavy fog.
However, the deceased not yet identified.
The injured were rescued and admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
According to police, a Dhaka-bound night coach hit a Kurigram-bound three-wheeler and fled the scene. Three passengers of the three-wheeler died on the spot. Upon receiving the news, police and firefighters recovered the bodies and sent them to the hospital morgue.
Masud Alam, assistant director of Rangpur Fire Service, said poor visibility caused by dense fog led to the accident. However, traffic movement on the road remains normal.
